Description

Offered here for your consideration is a vintage 10 piece Strawberry Shortcake set of dishes. The set includes a rare set of 3.5" tall S & P Shakers, a sugar bowl with lid, 5 dessert bowls and an oval bowl. The set is made by Cavitt-Shaw Division W.S. George. The set has a white glazed background with red trim and strawberries on each piece. The lid to the sugar bowl is tan with red trim and a strawberry on the top.
The set is in good condition. For 10 pieces of this pattern, the price is low especially since the S & P Shakers are a rare find. All pieces have some paint loss on the red trim. Some of the pieces have discoloration which looks to have come from air bubbles in the glaze. The S & P shakers are good. The pepper shaker has 2 tiny chips on the bottom edge. The salt shaker has a little paint loss on the lowest strawberry and it's cork is missing. The sugar bowl's lid is a different color and there is discoloration on the bottom, by one of the handles and along the top. One handle has a center crack with discoloration and there is a couple of pin head air holes along the top that are discolored and about a 1/4" crack along the inside top edge. The oval bowl has a 3 tiny chips along the top rim and about a 1/2" crack and discoloration between two of the chips and a small spot under a couple of the strawberries under the top edge. All 5 bowls have several chips around the edges from fleabite to 1/4".

Packing materials are recycled so the item may come in a recycled box or bag. Every item is inspected very carefully. Any and all issues found such as damage, discoloration, stains, missing buttons, etc. are always noted and listed.

Contact is made after an item is paid for to thank buyer for the purchase and to inform when the item will be shipped. I allow 3 days to ship, but usually ship the next business day if the shipping service is open. Shipping labels may be printed at times the shipping service isn’t opened so the date on the label may not be the date the item is actually shipped. The day the item actually ships is the day the tracking number is activated. Sellers have no control of when the shipping service delivers or the costs they charge. I can promise that I never make money on shipping and never intentionally overcharge.  Sellers have to pay listing site fees and PayPal fees on the final total of the item including shipping costs. Sellers also have costs of shipping materials if they package for safe arrival.
All items are packaged with care.
They are not just thrown in a box or a bag. Items are packaged in an appropriate size package to ensure that they arrive safely and undamaged. Whatever packing is needed to make sure the item arrives safely is used. I go the extra mile! Please don’t leave a lesser rating because of the way the shipping service handled the package. Those are circumstances beyond my control. Please contact me if there is something wrong with the item that was missed. I would like to make everyone happy, but I realize it doesn't matter how hard you try there will always be some that can’t be pleased. Nevertheless, I will always do my best.
If there is a mistake and something is missed that wasn't mentioned or an error was made in shipping costs, be assured that it was not done intentionally.  Even though perfection is strived for, it has yet to be achieved.
USPS costs have risen so that what was once a first class package weight may not be now. USPS charges according to zones and dimensional weight for larger packages. The dimensional weight causes the cost of shipping to be more expensive. They also round up so if a package weighs 1 lb. 1 oz. the shipping rate is rounded up to 2 lbs. This makes it difficult for sellers to offer free shipping and sell items at a lower price. I never intentionally overcharge!

Sellers can’t wait indefinitely since once an item sells they have already been charged fees on the sale and only have a short window of time to recoup those fees if the item isn’t paid for.
Items can only be returned if not as described and pictured. Items that are intentionally damaged or destroyed by buyer or replacing an item with a same kind item already in the buyer's possession cannot be returned. Purposely damaging an item to claim it was misrepresented or not as described or pictured is fraud and does not constitute that the item was misrepresented. Any buyer who does this will be reported to the necessary selling site authorities to be investigated for fraud. All items must be returned exactly as they were sent. Buyer pays return shipping costs and these shipping costs will not be refunded. Buyer pays additional shipping costs if item is returned due to incorrect address. Refunds will only be the final value of the item purchased.
Buyer acknowledges that the return policy, the condition description, item specifics and item description have been read and accepted. The buyer further acknowledges that all pictures have been viewed and all questions have been asked prior to buying. The buyer also acknowledges that returns will only be accepted if the item is misrepresented. If a return is granted for an item that was accurately described the buyer acknowledges that the
buyer pays the return shipping costs
. If a return is accepted, the buyer acknowledges that the final value paid for the item will be the
only refund
given; that no shipping costs will be refunded. No refund will be given or return will be accepted for any item that has been damaged by the buyer or that the buyer has substituted an item already in their possession in place of the one that was sent and was pictured and described in the listing.
